The Great Awakening: Runners, Haters and Heroes

Have you ever had that nightmare … where the people you care for … are walking into danger … completely oblivious … and you scream at them in terror to warn them … but no matter how loudly you scream … they cannot hear you … or they will not hear you … no matter how hard you try … you can not reach them … and then it happens … and you wake up screaming in terror?

Have you ever woken from a nightmare … expecting the relief from the realization that “it was only a nightmare” … only to realize that the nightmare is real … it really happened … and there is no escaping from the truth … you have no choice but to come to terms with it.

Our world is descending into darkness.

We all know it.

We all feel it.

Some cannot or will not see it.

They will not turn towards the dragon.

Perhaps they cannot handle it?

They cannot be reached.

At least, not at this time.

I call this bunch “the runners”.

Some see it

but habitually respond to the discomfort it gives rise to

by clinging tightly to their biases regarding its cause.

They hate who they hate and will not let go of their hate.

Their hate holds back the storm which would otherwise overwhelm them.

Rather than turning towards the real dragon,

they turn towards a fictional mini dragon and imagine themselves to be courageous.

They are a little more courageous that the first bunch,

but they too cannot handle it.

They cannot be reached.

At least, not at this time.

I call this bunch “the haters”.

Some see it

and have their biases regarding its cause

but are uncertain.

Their conscience restrains them from misdirecting hate towards even a single good person mixed in a bunch of evil people, so they need to be certain that the target is precise. The discomfort of uncertainty is far preferable to the pain of guilt, so they choose to endure the uncertainty with honor.

They genuinely value truth, and care far more about doing what is right than doing what is popular. The discomfort of being unpopular is far preferable to the pain of self loathing, so they choose to endure unpopularity with pride.

These people can be reached.

I call this bunch “the heroes”.

If you are inclined to the heroic path, you are my target audience.

Know that you are a very rare breed.

All progress of the human race was made possible by people like you.

I hope that you will consider aligning with me in this great heroic struggle to awaken ourselves and the world and to defeat the darkness now and forever.

At this stage, if you’re still reading, I am assuming that you are inclined to the heroic path.

You may be thinking to yourself …

“True. I am pretty awesome.

This guy at least knows awesomeness when he sees it

But who the hell is he?

Why should I waste my time on this guy?

I’ve got things to do.”

Fair question.

Answer coming soon …
