introduction
This is one of a series of incantations I have used to attain nibbana – the total end of suffering.
If you would like to use this tool, it might be helpful to understand the larger context within which it is intended to be used …
incantation

When inner conflict is present
and
the inner conflict is unpleasant
and
the unpleasantness of the inner conflict is strong
and
the desire to experience inner peace is present
and
the desire to experience inner peace is strong
and
energy is present …
and
the energy is strong…
and
the will to fight for inner peace is present …
and
the will to fight for inner peace is strong …
then …
May I summon the resolve to resolve this conflict
like so …
1: May I be resolved to hunt for truth.
2: May I be resolved to patiently and persistently do the work necessary to acquire the wisdom through which truth is revealed.
3: May I be resolved, in a spirit of generosity, to relinquish any view which hinders the arising of truth
even if doing so is intensely painful
these 3 resolves
knowing that
If I am resolved to
FEEL CONTEMPT for the weakness
of the choice to NOT
hunt for truth
If I am resolved to
FEEL CONTEMPT for the weakness
of the choice to NOT
patiently and persistently do the work necessary to acquire the wisdom through which truth is revealed …
If I am resolved to
FEEL CONTEMPT for the weakness
of the choice to to NOT
in a spirit of generosity, relinquish any view which hinders the arising of truth
even if doing so is intensely painful
these 3 resolves
if I am resolved to
ENDURE and to
CONQUER the discomfort of
hunting for truth
if I am resolved to
ENDURE and to
CONQUER the discomfort of
patiently and persistently doing the work necessary to acquire the wisdom through which truth is revealed.
if I am resolved to
ENDURE and to
CONQUER the discomfort of
in a spirit of generosity, relinquishing any view which hinders the arising of truth
even if doing so is intensely painful
these 3 resolves
if I am resolved to
TRANSFORM
pain into fuel,
avoidance into skillful searching for truth,
anger into skillful discernment of truth,
fear into salivatory excitement
in longing anticipation of the many treasures of
rebirth through truth …
if I am resolved to
stop and to
open and to
reach out and to
connect and to
summon
faith,
and the courage to keep pushing forward
if I am resolved to heroically pursue
truth,
the wisdom which through which it grows and
the relinquishment through which it is born
into this world
then,
in the moment of the birth of insight …
when the unconscious becomes conscious …
when the knees of the dragon begin to buckle …
in response to the cry of the treasure of truth being born into this world …
… the conflict raging within my soul will finally be resolved.
Suffering will give way to rapture
will give way to deep inner PEACE and tranquility
will give way to a mind completely unified in
single pointed a, as
time stands still.
(pause)
and with a new found wisdom
having been reborn into a new world
with beginner’s mind,
the one who is thus
will move through this world
with enduring equanimity
born of an enduring inner peace
as the reward
for enduring the discomfort
of these 3 resolves.
Stronger.
Wiser.
More powerful than ever.
Hungry to do it again.
Longing to do it again.
Salivating to do it again.
Over and over and over again.
Growing stronger and stronger
with each and every hunt.
Growing wiser and wiser
with each treasure taken.
These are the 4 resolves:
1: sacca: truth
2: paññā: wisdom
3: cāga: “relinquishment”
4: upasama: peace
